We started off the day with silent reading and completed a worksheet on conjunctions. After that, we discussed Chapter 1 of The Outsiders and worked on corresponding questions. We then had a fire drill and enjoyed a little fresh air. Finally, students were put in groups to complete a character sketch. They were assigned a particular 'Greaser' and had to create a sketch outlining the character's physical traits, likes, dislikes, family life, and a quote that describes the character. We will finish with this next class.
