Today, we had a surprise quiz -- yay!!! We then watched some videos and read an article about the intelligence of pigs. We continued to discuss other animal stereotypes in the media;students did a group activity characterizing stereotypes of particular farm animals. We also finished Chapter 6 in Animal Farm and worked on corresponding questions. I also showed a Powerpoint presentation and talked about the rivalry between Stalin and Trotsky.
