Things we did today:

• Silent reading
• Looked at Tupac quotes
• Finished notes on poetic devices
• Read the poem "To Christine" 
• Discussed the effects of media on gender perception (analysed Disney characters and magazine covers)
• Read the poem "Instructions to my Mother"
• Played Improv ('role playing') : scenarios between parents and teenagers
• Completed questions for both poems

• Watched the documentary "The Dark Side of Chocolate" and discussed how we can support local food businesses and farms
• Started completing a chart for the social classes of 18th and 19th century in Britain  (housing, clothing, transport, earnings, and education)
