English 9

We spent the first 20 minutes of class working on Independent Novel Study porfolios. After that, we got copies of the novel My Name is Seepeetza. This is a journal-style novel, written from the perspective of a girl in a Residential School. I went through a lesson on the history of First People government policies and Residential Schools in Canada. We then read the first 27 pages of the book.
