- Silent Reading
- Grammar (apostrophes)
- Reviewed different kinds of irony
- Presentation of some collages (from "The Blue Bead")
- Listened/read "The Open Window" and discussed the events in the story
- Time given to work on homework (unfinished journal entries, worksheets for "What Happened During the Ice Storm" and "The Open Window")

- I have marks printed up, but I forgot to post them at the end of class today; I'm sorry! Please remind me tomorrow
